General Questions
A socks printing machine utilizes digital technology to directly apply water – based ink onto socks. Here’s how it functions:
First, it receives digital design files. Then, with the help of RIP (Raster Image Processor) software, the design is “ripped” or processed to a format suitable for printing. After that, the print – head precisely sprays the ink onto the sock fabric according to the design details.
This type of machine is ideal for printing on – demand designs. It can be used to print on a wide range of items, including socks, sleeves, neckties, yoga suits, leggings, and all tubular products.
Our sock printing machines vary in three main ways. First, printing speeds differ – some are made for large – scale production to print fast, while others focus on high – resolution for detailed designs. Second, the space they need is different. And third, they can handle different maximum sock sizes.

Think about these points:
- Production daily output request: If you need to print a lot of socks, pick a machine with a high printing speed, like our hotsale model: CO80 – 210PRO.
- Design complexity: If you have a preference for very high – end and detailed printing, there are multi – color options available, such as an 8 – color option. This 8 – color option can be applied to every model. However, the output quantity varies for each model.
- Budget: Know how much you can spend. Compare machines within your budget to get the best value.

Printing speed varies by socks printer model. Our high – end models 80 – 210pro can print up to 88 pairs per hour (Client’s real output), resulting in a daily output of approximately [Daily – output] 700 pairs, assuming an 8 – hour working day.
Colorido 360 seamless digital printers are designed with different specifications.
Generally, printers with rollers in the diameter range of 220-500 millimeters are our large – sized machines (CO220-500PRO). These are suitable for handling larger items like T-shirts, sportswear, neckties, and leggings, as they can accommodate the sizes of these items well.
On the other hand, we have a small – sized machine series, like Colorido CO60 – 100PRO, CO80 – 210PRO, etc. The diameter of their rollers is between 60 – 100 millimeters. These small machines are mainly suitable for printing smaller items such as ice sleeves, stockings, socks, and wrist bands.
We recommend not believing that one printer can print all kinds of products. Each type of machine is specifically designed for its targeted products. This is to ensure that our customers can use the printers more conveniently and stably. If we try to use a single machine to print all kinds of products, it will not only lead to design inefficiencies in the machinery but also cause a lot of problems during operation. So, we recommend using the appropriate machine for different products.
The Colorido 360 seamless printer model CO20 – 500 Pro is suitable for your needs. This model is part of our large – cylinder series, making it ideal for printing items like T-shirts, sportswear, and leggings. It can handle seamless suits and activewear very well.

360° seamless printing is a new digital printing technology. Colorido has been specializing in this technology for a decade. One of its main advantages is enhancing the color variety of products. With seamless printing, there’s no need for sewing lines or shoulder seams, which makes the socks and garments more comfortable to wear.
Moreover, 360° seamless printing improves the color tolerance. This technology has transformed the industry trend, enabling one – click customization and on – demand printing to be fully realized. Customers can now get exactly the products they want, with unique designs and colors, which greatly meets the personalized needs of the market.
Generally, a digital socks printing machine typically uses two key software programs. One is the ICC software. Colorido socks printer is from Spain, with the brand name Neostampa. ICC software is used for precise color management and calibration of the printer. It ensures that the colors of the printed socks match the colors of the design or the original image as closely as possible. Whether it’s printing various patterns, photos, or text on socks, the ICC software makes the colors more accurate and vivid.
The other is the Colorido printing software. This software is mainly used to control the actual printing operation of the socks printing machine. For example, it allows you to set printing parameters such as print resolution and printing speed. It also helps to arrange the printing content on the socks, like adjusting the position and size of the pattern. This makes the printing process of socks more convenient and efficient.
Colorido uses ICC software (brand name Neostampa from Spain) and Colorido printing software. Regarding integrating third – party design tools, please tell us in detail what’s required. Our current customers connect their sales network systems to our ICC system for quick design processing and printing.
Generally, there are no strict requirements. Image formats like JPG, Illustrator, TIFF, and PDF can all be used.
If you search for “print on demand socks” or “face socks” on Google, you’ll notice that most of them have black toes and heels. This is mainly because of past printing limitations. However, Colorido’s visual printing technology brings a significant change.
The socks printer can detect colored parts on socks. It skips these areas and only prints on white parts. This allows for more colorful designs, greatly enriching the sock’s appearance.
This technology is a great fit for the POD trend. POD focuses on customization, and Colorido’s system offers more color options for personalized sock designs. It meets the needs of individual customers and small – scale fashion brands.
Maintaining a socks printer is easy! Every day after work, close the printer’s print head properly. Leaving it exposed to air for too long can dry it out and clog it. This is a common issue with sock printers, and it’s important to avoid it.
If you won’t be using the socks printer for a while, add some pure water (not mineral water) in the head capping to keep the print head moist. Before using the printer again, give it a good clean. This simple routine will keep your socks printer in good shape.
